Illustration Friday-Mask

This weeks theme fits my mood. As we all know, fellow artists, drawing is a way to work through emotional upheavels (spelling?), and if all else fails, to vent. Been going through some tough times, life, moving on to a next stage in my life.

I also just finished watching MirrorMask, which I thought the animation was fantastic.

So It looks like I fell into the "loveSmitten" dilemma. Oh well...I thought it was kind of a cute idea, a lil short tubby dude getting a love letter.

Illustration Friday-Trouble

It's been a long while since I last submitted any work.
It's a little morbid, but I think it kind of portrays a troubling state of mind.

It's a deep dark side of most of us, that we don't like to touch.
I needed to explore it a bit and see where it would take me.

Illustration Friday - Spring

I decided to take a bit of an abstract slant on Spring.
It's "Spring" blossuming through bushes and weeds....and nature all around. It seemed right at the time but now that I'm writting about it, I think the time change and going out drinkning lastnight, plus having to open this morning played a number on my art....
Oh well, let it be a testimony....hahahaha.

Illustration Friday-Feet

So I'm posting my sketch and quick photoshop paint job. I kinda like how it turned out but I may keep on going from with the original and do some more painting and see where it takes me. This is kinda fun....

Illustration Friday: First entry

So I came across Illustration Friday about 6 months ago and its taken me this long to participate. This is what I doodled within two hours or so. It was just for fun and no strings attached. Not my best work, but I hope this will at least get my creative juices in practice.
